Please feel free to message me for party information. I travel with all materials needed for an awesome time. I bring aprons, stools, tables, drop clothes, paint, water cups, easels, canvas, and crafts for a craft party. You may even choose your painting or theme. I can also host parties like “unicorns”, “dinosaurs”, “mermaids” , “Minecraft”, even clay, as I have a kiln.

For My Amazing Homeschool Families:
All my lessons align with the Arizona State Standards for Visual Arts and the National Visual Arts Standards. I am quite proficient in both sets of standards. I even helped write the Arizona State Standards for Visual Arts in 2015. I provide a well-rounded assortment of lessons including various forms of art, and many different mediums (including kiln-fired clay). I believe in having small class sizes and plenty of personalized attention. Every student deserves an outstanding art education with “hands-on” experiences that they will remember forever. They will have so much fun, that they won’t even realize they are learning!

Summer Classes
Drawing 101:
This class is a beginner-friendly course designed to build foundational drawing skills and explore various techniques and materials while, also, fostering creative expression and critical thinking
This class will introduce various drawing techniques including: line drawing, shading, and perspective.
Students will explore different drawing materials like pencils, charcoal, and other mediums.
Emphasis will be placed on developing observational skills and being able to translate what is seen onto paper.
Students will learn about basic principles of composition such as balance, rhythm, and unity.
Students will learn about shading techniques to create the illusion of depth and form.
Students will learn to critically evaluate their work.
This class encourages students to develop their own individual style and express their creativity while improving their drawing skills through direct instruction.
Class size is limited to 6 students to ensure each student receives individualized instruction.
This is a three-session class.

Watercolor 101
This beginner-friendly watercolor class will introduce your student to the basics of this vibrant medium, covering materials, color mixing, brush techniques, and fundamental painting concepts, all while encouraging experimentation and creative expression.
Students will:
Learn about different types of watercolor paints, brushes, paper, and palettes.
Discover how to mix colors and create a wide range of hues and shades.
Explore various brushstrokes and techniques, including wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, and dry brushing.
Embrace the unique qualities of watercolor and have fun exploring different techniques and subjects.

Alcohol
Ink
Exploration
In this workshop, students will learn about alcohol inks.
We will experiment with various techniques, and create unique art pieces using this vibrant and fluid medium.
I will encourage exploration and creativity without needing to produce a specific project.

Art Journaling for Teens!

What is an Art Journal?
An Art journal is a visual diary where you practice making art while expressing yourself at the same time.
I will teach different techniques every time students come to class. We will be painting, collaging, inking, stamping, tearing, coloring, printing, and even sewing…the options are endless. THIS IS A BLAST!
This class is awesome for angry teens, happy teens, curious teens, messy teens, neat teens, hyper teens, quiet teens, creative teens, bored teens, inspired teens, teens that love to write, teens that love to draw, teens that love to paint, and teens that love to collect papers and photos and all kinds of oddities. Seriously, this class is awesome. Your kiddo will love it!
